For those who love to flaunt their wallet, Riot introduced Prestige skins, attainable with mythic essence, but there is one more skin tier that is rarely talked about.
Ultimate skins are some of the rarest in the game, because it takes a long time and a lot of work to create skins worthy of the title “ultimate”. So let’s go over what makes these skins so expensive and which champions have already received ultimate skins in League of Legends.
All Ultimate Skins In League of Legends
In total, there are seven ultimate skins in League of Legends, with only the most popular champions having skins in this rare category. So let’s start with the first ever legendary skin and move on to the newest one, which was released in 2023.
Pulsefire Ezreal - 3250 RP
This skin was released in 2012 and is the first ever ultimate skin in the game. It’s also one of the most popular Ezreal skins, and that’s saying a lot with him being one of the champions with the most skins in the game.

This skin has four forms, which you unlock by leveling up his ultimate in the game. Each form makes his armor more intricate and detailed. And that’s not all – this skin got new voice lines, textures, and animations. In 2018, it was given a makeover to keep up with the latest skin standards.
Spirit Guard Udyr - 3250 RP
In 2022 finally released the Udyr Visual and Gameplay Update, which also involved a huge upgrade to his unique ultimate skin. It was originally released in 2013, but with the VGU it’s been upgraded and greatly improved. Like the Ezreal skin, we’ve also got multiple forms here once more.

There are five different variations in this skin, all according to his stances – Tiger, Turtle, Bear, Phoenix and his base. This skin seems to have inspired a lot of the design of Udyr’s VGU as well, but it’s still his best skin, letting him truly explore his spiritual energy. So, even the steep price of an ultimate skin is worth it here.
DJ Sona - 3250 RP
In 2015 Riot released DJ Sona. This skin also has various forms. Players can toggle through the forms, each with a different song to accompany it, which is a great concept, especially for a champion like Sona. Players can choose between the Concussive, Ethereal and Kinetic sound.

You just have to type /toggle, /g or CTRL+5/CTRL+7 to change the form they want to play in. Depending on the song you choose, her outfit will also change, making this one of her most popular skins in the entire game.
Elementalist Lux - 3250 RP
This is where Riot peaked in terms of skin design. Elementalist Lux is the standard most hold for an ultimate skin in League of Legends, but what makes her so great? While the previous ultimate skins had 3-5 different forms, Lux has a whopping 10.

While you play the game and attack opponents, you gain stacks. Once you’ve got enough, you can pick an element. Then you continue to stack to choose a second element, which will in turn create a brand-new element and look for Lux.

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune - 2275 RP
Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is the only ultimate skin that doesn’t demand 3250 Riot Points – she’s a bit more budget-friendly and made her debut in 2018. But don’t be fooled, she’s still giving multiple looks! You can choose between Scarlet Fair, Zero Hour, Royal Arms, and Starswarm. Each form brings its own unique flair.

Unlike DJ Sona where you can switch between songs and forms, Riot Games gave Miss Fortune a unique UI where she can choose a form at the beginning when she’s in the fountain. This is similar to Lux, but you don’t need to earn any stacks to get the form you want.
K/DA All Out Seraphine - 3250 RP
Seraphine’s debut skin was an ultimate skin, which is insane to think about. The skin was released in 2020 with the 2020 World Championship. And similar to previous ultimate skins, this one also has various forms. Unlike previous ultimate skins, though, you have to pick which version of Seraphine you want in the champion select skin screen.

When players pick up the skin, they first only have the Indie Star skin and by completing missions, players slowly unlock the other versions of Seraphine’s ultimate skin. Once you complete all the missions, you’ve basically unlocked 3 Seraphine skins, with the final form being her K/DA All Out skin.
Soul Fighter Samira - 3250 RP
The newest ultimate skin is none other than Samira’s Soul Fighter skin from 2023. This skin has a unique pentakill animation, an insane new HUD overlay for her style points, making this skin stand out from the rest. Not only that, while the skin might not have various forms, it does get bigger and better throughout the game.

Her ultimate gets bigger and flashier every single time she uses it, and her taunt also upgrades as the game goes on. It also depends on the amount of kills she’s gotten throughout the game. It’s honestly a beautiful skin, but some fans felt that it should have the same price as Miss Fortune’s ultimate, due to it having fewer transformations like previous ultimate skins.
What Makes A Skin An Ultimate Skin In League of Legends?
Ultimate Skins are the crème de la crème, the most luxurious tier of skins in League of Legends, and they come with a hefty price tag. These skins take much longer to craft and often feature new tech, according to a blog post from 2020.
Even though you're not spending 500 dollars on Faker's Hall of Fame skins, the Ultimate skins are designed for players to feel like they're spending money on something special.
Ultimate Skins in League of Legends are a rare and luxurious item because they take a lot of time and effort to develop and release. That’s why there are only seven of them in the game. So, just because you adore champions like Lee Sin or Aurelion Sol, doesn't mean they’ll get their own Ultimate Skin.
