The Big Tournaments Explained

FC Pro Open

The FC Pro has returned for another year with pro players competing for the ultimate prize. Competitors will be divided into four groups and face off for a place in the knockout stages, ultimately aiming to reach the Grand Final. The tournament winner can win a staggering $100,000 from the $532,000 prize pool. Also, the winner will secure a spot in the FC Pro World Championship and EAFC26 Pro Open.

Notable Players

Some of the Notable players who qualified for the First Pro Open of the year include Anders Verjgang, nicolas99fc, PHZin, Tekkz, Umut and Levi de Weerd. Last year's Winner, PHZin, is expected to be a top favourite once again, though names like Verjgang and Tekkz are also highly regarded by the FIFA community.

How to qualify for the FC Pro Open

For a player to have a chance to qualify, they must register at the start of every new season, in order to compete in the FC Pro Ladder. Registrations started in September for a limited period during the start of the season. After registering for the competition, eligible players were required to reach division 3 on PS5 for the FC Pro Game Mode to be available to compete for the FC Pro Ladder. From 1st October till 7th October, players were required to play the FC Pro Ladder between 6pm-10pm. The players were classified with a so-called ELO rating. The most important part for this ELO Rating is that the players rating could be used for tiebreaker purposes to understand which players will make it to the next phase or not.

The top players from different regions then compete in an online competition for a place in the final qualifier before the live broadcasted tournament held in London. To earn a spot in the live tournaments, players compete in a swiss format followed by a double-elimination knockout stage to secure their place in the finals.
