No Fortnite Season Comes Close to these Five

Fortnite has been around for quite some time by now, with multiple season under its belt. There have been highs and lows throughout it’s existence, with some seasons far more popular than others. 

But with such a vast history, which seasons were the best? That’s what I’m going to look at today. These are the five best Fortnite seasons of all time, and you cannot change my mind.

5. Chapter 1 Season 8

The Pirate Season kicked off Fortnite Arena, the OG ranked mode, and brought the first Cash Cups and World Championship 2019 qualifiers. Players went all out. I also can’t forget the introduction of the iconic Baller, who helped more passive players reach their true potential. We also got a treasure map with golden weapons, cannons, a massive jungle biome, and the return of the Floor is Lava mode in Chapter 5. Plus, who could forget the Flint Knock pistol’s epic knockback feature and the hilariously weak Airstrike?

But that’s not all! Shadow Bombs, the legendary infantry rifle, the Boom Bow, and Reboot Vans made their debut. The Marvels' Endgame mode was a huge hit, and the community even unvaulted the drum gun. With so many new items, modes, and gameplay options, Pirate Season was hands down one of the best seasons ever.

4. Chapter 2 Season 2

Many players today call this season Prime Fortnite 2. After the simplicity of Chapter 2 Season 1, Season 2 changed everything. For the first time, we had bosses with mythical weapons and vaults on the map. The weapons were legendary! Midas' drum gun was every controller player's dream with its OP Aim Assist, plus Skye's Scar and infinite grappler, and Brutus' shredding minigun – definitely can’t forget about those.

This season also featured epic collabs with Star Wars and Deadpool, and introduced a new helicopter that wasn’t as bad as the planes. We got the awesome Crashpad for the first time, and the Heavy Sniper returned. This season truly shaped Fortnite as we know it!

3. Chapter 2 Season 4 

The Stark Season makes it onto the podium! This epic Marvel collab introduced new mythical items and two amazing POIs – Doom's Domain and Stark Industries, with Stark Industries becoming an all-time favorite. The vault and Stark Industries chests were packed with Spas shotguns and golden loot.

And let’s not forget the Stark Industries Energy Rifle, a mix of an SMG and infantry rifle, easily one of the best assault rifles ever. This season offered incredible variety and was a blast for both casual players and pros alike.

2. Chapter 1 Season 3

Season 3 was when Fortnite's popularity skyrocketed. Tyler "Ninja" Blevins became a gaming superstar, and players really started mastering the building mechanics. Lucky Landing was added to celebrate Chinese New Year, and it's where Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf would later win the Fortnite World Cup. The season's storyline also leveled up when meteorites hit the map, adding a new layer of excitement for anything coming after.

Season 3 is often seen as the OG season that ignited the massive Fortnite hype. It set the stage for everything that followed, creating nostalgia for many players. But what could possibly top the original, iconic season...?

1. Season OG

Fortnite Season OG! This season brought back old squads, streamers, and legends. Honestly, this season was so popular, it was almost impossible to log on because of the long queue in the loading screen. Everyone was rushing to play what they’d missed from the old days of Fortnite.

Unsurprisingly then, the OG Season from Chapter 4 shattered records with 45 million players on November 4, 2023! For 30 days, you could play on the OG map of Chapter 1, with slight changes in the loot pool over time. 

Opinions will vary on different seasons, but I hope you enjoyed this ranking and remembered some old memories. Here's to hoping for more top 5-worthy seasons in the future!
